In 2018, a record 45.4 million visitors spent at least one night in Arizona.
Those touristsspent a total of $24.4 billion during the state’s 2018 fiscal year, which ran July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019, according to the Arizona Office of Tourism.
While tourism in some parts of the country – such as in Orange County, California, or Orlando, Florida – is driven by one company (Disney), most of Arizona’s biggest tourism destinations are natural attractions such as the Grand Canyon.
