PHOENIX — The Arizona National Guard is helping train volunteers who will be administering the coronavirus vaccine and supporting vaccination sites in Arizona.

According to a press release sent out Tuesday by the Arizona Department of Emergency and Military Affairs, those receiving training are retired medical professionals and current medical students.

The move is to help speed up the vaccination schedule of millions of Arizonans and Americans.

The trained volunteers will be sent to sites with the greatest need of additional hands.

The National Guard says they can use more volunteers to help administer the vaccine. If you or someone you know has the skill set, you can sign up through the ADHS website.
