PHOENIX — A coronavirus testing site is opening at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport as an influx of travelers is expected over the upcoming holidays.

The XpresCheck testing site, opening Monday at noon, is located pre-security on Level 3 in Terminal 4, inside the Drugs & More store.

They will be open Thursdays to Mondays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., but hours are expected to expand as air travel continues to grow.

An appointment can be made at Xprescheck.com or walk-ins are accepted. XpresCheck says the visit takes about 20 minutes.

There is a fee for the visit and test, which will be submitted through insurance companies. Any leftover costs will be billed to the patients.

Rapid tests will be available for an up-front cost of $200.

Anyone who tests positive will be asked to go home or return to your hotel and begin quarantining. Those who are symptomatic may be advised to go to the hospital, officials said during a press conference Monday.
