PHOENIX — Bill Hyder, 77, died after a long battle with COVID-19 on August 9, 2020.

According to his family, Bill was sworn into the State Bar of Arizona in 1968, “where he proudly became a prosecutor for the Maricopa County Attorney's Office. He handled many high profile cases, including homicides, and fought vigorously for justice.”

Bill also served in the Judge Advocate General's Corps of the United States Army as a Reserve Commissioned Officer.

Hyder's daughter, also a lawyer, said her father was her best friend. He taught her about retirement, money and humanity.

“The world just lost someone so special who had so much kindness and knowledge,” she said.
