PINAL COUNTY, AZ — Pinal County Public Health announced Monday that it has received its first doses of the COVID-19 vaccine in an effort to begin vaccinating healthcare workers.
The public health department said a small group of community partners received their share of vaccines Monday.
These providers will begin vaccinating their healthcare workers with shipments of the first portion of vaccines to continue from Monday through Wednesday.
Providers will contact healthcare professionals who were approved by the Arizona Department of Health Services when they are ready to begin vaccinations.

Long term care residents are expected to be vaccinated through a separate federal program that has been set up, Pinal County Public Health said.
