TUCSON, AZ — A Tucson man has been sentenced to 18 years in prison for cutting off another man's finger after a drug deal went awry.

The Arizona Attorney General announced that Francisco Esteban Fierros, 31, was sentenced to 18 years in prison for cutting off the finger of man after a drug deal.

On July 27, 2017, Jessica Bracamontes met the victim at a Tucson convenience store for a drug deal.

She was not happy with the deal, so she kidnapped the man at gunpoint, met up with Fierros and brought him to a Tucson motel.

Fierros beat the victim, then placed his right index finger on a bedside dresser and cut the man's finger off with a machete. Bracamontes allegedly recorded the assault.

Bracamontes kept the finger, telling the victim, "We're keeping it, so it serves as a reminder to you."

Bracamontes pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
