BUCKEYE, AZ — A 19-year-old student has been arrested for making a bomb threat against Verrado High School in Buckeye.

Buckeye police report that on March 19, 19-year-old Keyla Sujeiri Chavez posted a threatening message on Snapchat.

Chavez allegedly posted a message saying, "If you go to Verrado High School don't attend on Friday!!!" After the quote, police say, Chavez ended the message with "bomb emoji."

According to court documents, another student saved the message and reported it to her parents who contacted the school.

The School Resource Officer at Verrado reportedly interviewed a witness who said they advised Chavez not to post the message.

Upon her arrest, Chavez allegedly told police that "she was tired of going to school." Police say Chavez showed "no remorse" for the posting.

This was the first of two high school threat arrests made by Buckeye police in a week.

She has been charged with interference of an educational institution.
