BUCKEYE, AZ — Buckeye police arrested a woman who allegedly used meth and fentanyl for hours in a one-bedroom apartment with two small children.
Last week, Buckeye police report they were called to a home near MC-85 and Miller Road for a domestic argument. When they arrived, the caller reportedly told police that a woman, later identified as 23-year-old Caitlin Leean Hice, and another man had been in the bathroom for hours smoking drugs.
Police say when they announced themselves, they heard running water and toilets flushing. When police entered the home, they reportedly saw two young children, ages 2 and 3, in the one-bedroom apartment.
Court records show that Hice has multiple current warrants for her arrest regarding shoplifting and previous drug charges.
In the home, police say they found residue that tested positive for meth. Upon her arrest, Hice allegedly told police that she was in and out of consciousness after smoking fentanyl in the bathroom. She reportedly admitted to smoking fentanyl for the past six months.
She has been charged with child abuse and various drug charges.
