DPS: Wrong-way driver arrested for second-degree murder after Loop 101 crash

GLENDALE — A 22-year-old woman has been arrested for second-degree murder after hitting and killing a person while driving the wrong way on L-101 near Union Hills Drive, according to the Department of Public Safety.

Delilah Castillo of Glendale was booked into jail on August 22 following her release from a rehabilitation center, DPS says.

Laiquan Lemon of Goodyear died in the July 30 crash.

Castillo has been jailed on one count of second-degree murder, two counts of criminal damage, and five counts of endangerment.

She was reportedly impaired by alcohol at the time of the crash.
