PHOENIX — A man is dead after a reported shooting late Thursday night in Phoenix.
Phoenix police say the shooting happened in the area of 16th Street and Baseline Road around 10 p.m.
When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.
That man has since been identified as 18-year-old Jeremiaha Austin.
He was taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries.
Officials say Austin was walking home with a family member when he was shot. The suspect left the area before police arrived.
No information about the suspect has been released.
