PHOENIX — A man is dead after a shooting early Saturday morning in central Phoenix.
Phoenix police say officers in the area of 16th Street and McDowell Road heard several gunshots just before 1 a.m. Saturday.
When officers found where the shooting occurred, they found 25-year-old Javier Pacheco Cardenas with multiple gunshot wounds inside a vehicle in a neighborhood alleyway.
He was taken to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.
Police have not released any suspect information related to the shooting.
The shooting remains under investigation.
