Man dead after shooting near Central and Dunlap avenues

PHOENIX — One man is dead after police say he was shot near Central and Dunlap avenues Sunday morning.

Phoenix police say the incident took place around 4 a.m. at a restaurant in the area.

Police say a fight reportedly occurred between two customers in the drive-thru of the restaurant that led to shots fired. The suspect then took off from the scene.

Officers arrived to find a man with a gunshot wound who died at the scene from his injuries.

Police have not yet named the victim.

A 39-year-old man, identified as Luis Fernando Parra Cruz, was arrested in connection with the shooting Monday evening. Police say he was booked into jail on a murder charge.
