QUEEN CREEK, AZ — A Queen Creek teen was arrested after being in a hit and run crash while allegedly driving a stolen golf cart.
The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office reports that on October 25, they were investigating a hit and run crash and were advised that Nathan Aaron Hensel, 19, was driving the golf cart that was involved in the collision.
Hensel was located at his home in Queen Creek and reportedly told deputies that he took the golf cart from a green belt near his home and drove it before and after the crash.
He later allegedly abandoned the golf cart in a desert area near his home.
MCSO says after the key to the golf cart was found in his bedroom, Hensel took investigators to the desert area where the golf cart was left.
Hansel has been charged with theft.
