MESA, AZ — A DUI suspect with three children in his car, leaves after a crash.
Mesa police report that just after midnight on January 13, they responded to a crash near Dobson Road and University Drive.
Police say 40-year-old Eric Fidel Menchaca was driving with his three children inside when his car crashed.
The children, all under 6-years-old, were uninjured.
Menchaca was found by the Mesa police helicopter after fleeing the scene.
He allegedly admitted to police that he consumed meth and beer prior to driving.
Court records show that Menchaca was driving on a suspended license.
He's been charged with several counts of aggravated DUI and leaving the scene of a collision.
