Mesa police say the 31-year-old was arrested on April 7 after officers used surveillance video to identify him as the man using the stolen credit cards.
White reportedly used bolt cutters to open 17 lockers at seven fitness centers in Mesa. Police say he stole 34 credit cards, two guns and cash. He used the stolen credit cards 17 times to buy gift cards. Between the gift cards and the cash, he took nearly $6,000.
White says he sold one gun and the gift cards to support his addiction to methamphetamine.
White also allegedly told police that he committed about 50 locker cut burglaries at fitness centers.
He said he simply walked into different wearing head phones going right past the front desk and into the locker rooms. There he waited until he was alone, then used a bolt cutter to open the lockers.
White, who is already on probation, is now charged with 17 counts of burglary, 34 counts of credit card theft, trafficking in stolen property.
