MESA, AZ — Two women have been charged after removing the interior wall of a Mesa storage unit and stealing the items inside.
Last week the Maricopa County Attorney's Office charged Sharon Ann Allard, 59 and Shiela Jo Woodraska, 57 with burglary of a Mesa storage unit in 2017.
Mesa police say the women removed the interior steel wall adjacent to their storage unit at the U-Haul storage facility near Mesa Drive and Southern Avenue.
The woman allegedly planned to sell the property and buy a car.
Court records show that the women took the items and the wall to Allard's home in Tempe.
Police say that's where the property was recovered.
They have both been summoned to appear for their first court appearance on April 20.
