HAVRE — Edmund Davis, linked to previously missing Arizona teenager Alicia Navarro, pleaded guilty in Montana Court in September 2024 to one count of sexual abuse of children. He was sentenced on Monday to 100 years in prison.
Davis, 38 years old, admitted to possessing child sex abuse material on his electronic devices.

A review of the content determined the individuals depicted to be under the age of 13, with two images of children under the age of 5, including images of infants and toddlers and other computer-generated or animated content showing children being sexualized.
Authorities said none of the sexualized images of children from this case involved Navarro, but she was informed of the evidence and the sentence.
"The judge was very clear that she was not going to lighten the sentence yesterday in court, and he was going to be held accountable because he had shown no remorse," said Kathleen Winn, who advocated for Navarro's family. "The sentencing for the family is a line of demarcation - a closure."
The devices were discovered in July 2023 when the Havre Police Department served a search warrant on Davis’ Montana apartment after learning that a young woman who had been reported missing from Glendale, Arizona, as a 14-year-old in 2019, was living there.

When she answered the door, officers saw Davis in the kitchen behind her throwing a cell phone into a trash can and placing items on top of the phone as if to hide it.
The phone and other electronic devices found during the search were transferred into the custody of the Division of Criminal Investigation Computer Forensics Unit in Helena, Montana.
DCI agents then obtained a separate search warrant for the electronics and identified a known child sexual abuse material photo series and other evidentiary images.
The court went along with the recommendation by prosecutors, and Davis was sentenced to 100 years in the Montana State Prison. Fifty of those years were suspended. Davis will not be eligible for parole for 25 years.
As of now, Edmund has not faced any charges in the disappearance of Navarro, but police told ABC15 in October 2024 that the case is still open and under investigation:
"Our portion of the investigation is still active and open. So, we will not make further comments on our portion of the case. We won’t in order to not only preserve the investigation but out of respect for Alicia and her family," a spokesperson said responding via email in October.
Winn said Navarro is working, receiving counseling, and preparing to attend college. She said the healing process is ongoing for the whole family.
"You can’t ever restore the innocence that was taken away from this young girl, and she could never get back those years that she could’ve spent in high school and growing up," Winn said.
