ELOY, AZ — A traffic stop in southern Arizona led to the arrest of a woman transporting 46 pounds of meth.
According to the Pinal County Sheriff's Office, deputies stopped a vehicle on Interstate 10 near Eloy on Friday night.
A K-9 deputy reportedly found two hidden compartments in the vehicle. Inside the compartments, they found 42 plastic wrapped bundles of meth.
The meth weighed about 46 pounds, according to PCSO.
Deputies arrested 37-year-old Stephanie Sanchez of Rio Rico, Arizona.
Sheriff Mark Lamb said, "The total cost of meth to communities across our country is estimated at $23 billion."
Sanchez is being charged with possession of dangerous drugs for sale and transportation of dangerous drugs.
