A 65-year-old man is recovering after suffering serious injuries in a road rage incident Monday.
According to Glendale police, the victim was driving near 43rd and Peoria avenues when the suspect, 28-year-old Darius Evan Fontenot, followed him through the intersection.
Fontenot got the victim to stop his car and then allegedly used his vehicle to block him in. The victim got out of his car and was punched in the face and knocked unconscious by Fontenot.
Witnesses told police that Fontenot continued hitting the victim while he was unconscious and defenseless on the ground.
When witnesses ran to the victim's aid, Fontenot got in his car and left.
