A man was arrested after using Molotov cocktails to set fire to the roof of a Phoenix apartment complex.
Phoenix police report that they arrested 29-year-old Andrew Corey Johnson on Monday for an arson fire he allegedly set eight days earlier.
Police say several witnesses saw Johnson throw multiple lit bottles filled with gasoline onto the roof of an apartment complex near 27th Avenue and Camelback Road.
One alert resident was able to put out the fire before it spread. However, the fire still caused about $5,000 in damage.
Johnson was reportedly involved in an altercation with the complex manager earlier this month, as he was accused of trespassing.
Johnson has been charged with arson of an occupied structure and misconduct involving weapons.
