Two brothers were arrested and accused of sex trafficking two young teenage girls.

Phoenix Police report that on April 4, a 14-year-old girl asked a clerk at Circle K to call police saying that she and a 13-year-old girl had been forced to sell drugs and sex for the past five days.

Police say the girls knew each other from residing in the same group home.

They both told similar stories to police accusing Jamal King Pennington, 33, and his brother Kamil, 26, of assaulting them and forcing them to sell drugs and sex from motel rooms near 24th and Van Buren streets.

They said they were advertised on 'Backpage.com' and if they didn't earn $250 per day, they would be beaten.

The girls reported that they did this for five days before they reached out for help.

Police located and arrested the brothers on April 16 in different locations near the motel.

Both were arrested for aggravated assault and child sex trafficking.
