BUCKEYE, AZ — An assault suspect is behind bars after being arrested by Buckeye police Tuesday night.
Police say that on February 21, Joseph Isiah Mitchell, 25, was outside a Circle K store near Highway 85 and Oglesby Road, when he pushed a man to the ground.
A 65-year-old man witnessed the altercation pulled Mitchell off the other man and held him by the neck. At one point, Mitchell flipped the victim over his back and began stomping and punching him while he was defenseless on the ground.
