CHANDLER, AZ — A man has been arrested in Chandler after allegedly shooting and killing his wife at their home near Price Road and Chandler Boulevard Tuesday morning.
Officers say Jordan Taylor, 30, accidentally shot his 27-year-old wife in the chest while clearing a rifle.
Chandler police say they received a call from Taylor at around 7:50 a.m. indicating he shot his wife on accident. When officers arrived on scene, they found the woman with a gunshot wound to the chest, and two children in the residence.
The woman was then immediately transported to a hospital where she later died from her injuries.
Taylor told officials that he and his his wife had owned other firearms for a short period of time, and had two other accidental discharges with the same weapon a week prior, official say.
Chandler police arrested Taylor on one count of 2nd degree murder.
