PD: Chandler mom saves stabbed son, pulls him into home

Posted

A Chandler mom pulled her stabbed son into her home and away from his attacker recently.

Chandler police report that on September 29 a woman saw her teenage son bleeding profusely while using a chair to fight off a knife-wielding friend.

The 17-year-old suspect allegedly threatened the mother with a kitchen knife as she pulled her son into the home and locked the patio door.

Police say the victim required emergency surgery and was stabbed in the face, arm, leg back and chest.

The suspect ran away and was caught by police responding to the home, near Arizona Avenue and Ray Road.

Police say the suspect reportedly told them that, "He stabbed a guy and liked it." He also allegedly told detectives that he "got a vibe that the victim was going to kill him," although he admitted that the victim did or said nothing to indicate this.

The teen has been charged in juvenile court with attempted second-degree murder and aggravated assault. His identity has not been released, because he is being charged as a juvenile.
