A DUI suspect is accused of stealing a Tempe city vehicle, causing a crash and then fleeing from police.

Tempe police report that on July 3, they responded to the area near McClintock Drive and Broadway Road for a stolen vehicle.

A woman, later identified as 42-year-old Tanya Delgadillo Nareau, allegedly stole a 2007 Chevy Silverado truck, owned by the City of Tempe.

Police located the truck after it was involved in a collision in the area.

Police say Nareau left the crash scene and was caught nearby.

Police say her preliminary breath test showed a BAC level of .22, nearly three times the legal limit.

Nareau has been charged with vehicle theft, unlawful flight, leaving the scene of an accident and extreme DUI.
