PHOENIX — A bank employee is on the run after reportedly taking over $100,000 in cash from a North Phoenix Wells Fargo.
Phoenix police report that on May 16, Victor Adame, age 23, allegedly took cash from the Wells Fargo Bank near 67th Avenue and Happy Valley Road, before leaving for the day.
Adame did not report for work the next day when employees found several vault cash boxes were missing large amounts of money.
An audit of the bank vault shows that Adame walked out with $135,001.
Surveillance video reportedly shows Adame removing money from several vault boxes and stuffing the cash in his pockets.
Wells Fargo officials positively identified Adame as the man in the video.
He has not been seen since, but he has been charged with theft.
The FBI was not immediately able to release a photo of the suspect.
