A Glendale woman was assaulted by her husband after posting a photo of herself in a bikini.

Glendale police report that on August 10 they arrested 22-year-old Santiago Eli Solano for assaulting his wife on July 30.

Police say Solano saw a photograph of his wife in a bikini on a Facebook page he didn't know she had. He was allegedly upset that she had a Facebook account and a phone. She was "not allowed to have a phone, work, or have a car."

Solano, reportedly, went to his home near 75th Avenue and Bell Road, where his wife was home with their four young children.

He assaulted his wife by dragging her up the stairs to their second story apartment, where he punched her repeatedly. The victim would later tell police, "He had a happy look on his face," as he was strangling her with his hands.

He then tore apart the apartment searching for the hidden cell phone and left before police could arrive. The woman suffered numerous cuts and bruises.

Upon his arrest Solano refused to talk with detectives, requesting an attorney.

He has been charged with kidnapping and aggravated assault.
