A Goodyear woman was charged Monday with an aggravated DUI after police say a child fell from her car.

Goodyear police say 61-year-old Cynthia Lorraine Charette was driving her car near Sarival Avenue and Yuma Road, with a 7-year-old child in the back seat.

The rear door was unsecured, and the child fell out of the car. The child was reportedly dragged for a few feet and sustained cuts to his left hand, foot, and leg.

Police believe the victim may have been run over if he hadn't been wearing his seatbelt.

According to court documents, Charette had a B.A.C. of .155. But this isn't the first time she's been charged with a DUI. Charette served just over two years for an aggravated DUI committed in 2007.

In that case, Charette was driving in Sun City where she worked as a caregiver. She was about to pick up an 80-year-old woman and take her to several appointments when she was involved in a collision.

Her B.A.C. in the 2010 incident was .304.
