An argument over a handicap parking space reportedly led one man to pepper spray another.

Phoenix police say that on October 4 they were called to a parking lot near 51st Avenue and Baseline Road.

When police arrived, they talked to a witness, the victim, and the alleged suspect. The suspect has been identified as 56-year-old Anthony Lloyd Vann.

Police say Vann and the victim got into an argument over the victim parking in a handicap spot.

During the argument, Vann allegedly reached into the victim’s car through the passenger side, and pepper sprayed him.

Police say the victim got out of his car and was looking through a bag in the back seat, when Vann pulled a gun and pointed it at him.

Police reportedly found a pepper spray can and a handgun with Vann.

He has been charged with aggravated assault.
