A man is arrested for stealing two sports memorabilia books and a slot machine from a Paradise Valley home.

On Monday, Maricopa County prosecutors charged 30-year-old Justin Brady Gaffney with trafficking in stolen property.

Paradise Valley Police report that Gaffney was doing subcontracting work on a home near Scottsdale and Indian Bend roads when he allegedly took a slot machine and two limited-edition copies of “For the Love of Hockey.”

Police say the items are worth about $4,000.

The books were sold to a pawn shop in Sun City. Police were able to track down the person who pawned the books, who lead them to Gaffney.

According to Julien’s Auction, “For the Love of Hockey" is a "Limited Edition Signature Series," and features personal stories and autographs of the 93 National Hockey League players that are featured in the book.
