GLENDALE, AZ — Police located and arrested a suspect from a 2017 sexual assault of a special needs woman in Glendale on Thursday.
Police report that Tyshawn Jazmare Gray was arrested in Sierra Vista in connection with a sexual assault that occurred in December 2017.
According to authorities, a woman with special needs contacted Gray on a dating application and requested a ride home from a Glendale hospital.
Gray allegedly picked her up and took her to a park near 51st Avenue and Thunderbird Road.
Police say he sexually assaulted her multiple times and stole her cell phone. Nurses later told police the victim had twenty injuries to her body.
Police believe Gray may also be a suspect in a 2013 sexual assault of a 17-year-old girl. The girl was home alone when she allegedly saw Gray in her apartment.
The girl claimed Gray sexually assaulted her several times.
Upon his arrest, Gray allegedly stated that he had sex with the Glendale woman and knew that she was mentally disabled.
He is being held on a $100,000 cash bond for aggravated assault and five counts of sexual assault.
