PHOENIX — A man has been arrested for "potentially hundreds" of south Phoenix beer runs, according to court documents.
Phoenix police report that on February 25, they arrested Benjamin Edgar Garland, 39, near 67th Avenue and Van Buren Street on 16 counts of retail theft at eight Circle K locations in South Phoenix.
Court records show that so far, Garland has been connected to the theft of 126 cases of beer worth over $3,500, over 58 days. Police say Garland is "committing thefts faster than we can collect evidence."
He has been charged with retail theft.
