BUCKEYE, AZ — A Goodyear man is accused of filming a teenager inside a Buckeye Walmart bathroom.
According to police documents, 33-year-old Alan Joseph Kaufman told officials that he planned to meet with another person who agreed to being filmed at the Walmart near Interstate 10 and Watson Road.
However, officials say Kaufman saw the person who he thought he was supposed to meet and reached his phone over the bathroom wall to film. The victim, a 17-year-old boy, noticed the suspect's phone and knocked it from his hand.
Police say Kaufman apologized to the victim, saying "he thought the victim was someone else." Kaufman reportedly waited at the scene for police to arrive.
He was booked into jail on charges of voyeurism and unlawful recording.
