Police say a man drove a golf cart through the service bay doors of a Goodyear car dealership, damaging several vehicles in the process.

Goodyear police say that on November 10, Patrick John Sumpter drove a golf cart through the service bay doors at Rodeo Ford near Litchfield Road and Van Buren Street.

Sumpter was allegedly seen on video rummaging through the dealership offices and damaging several vehicles, including two Ford Raptor trucks.

When workers arrived later that morning, they reportedly found the glass doors at the front entrance destroyed, police say.

The employees spotted Sumpter in the general manager's office and called the police.

Officers allegedly found Sumpter seated in the fetal position in the GM's chair.

The dealership manager estimated the damage done by Sumpter to be about $25,000.

He's been charged with burglary and criminal damage.
