GLENDALE, AZ — A man was arrested in California after it was discovered that he embezzled over $137,000 from a small business in Glendale.
Glendale police report that last week, 46-year-old Jason David Houchin turned himself into authorities near Fresno, California, for embezzling thousands of dollars from a small business in the west Valley.
An internal audit of Western Water Technologies found that a former payroll supervisor, Houchin, had diverted $137,000 in payroll to several personal accounts.
Over seven years, Houchin allegedly made 63 transactions into his accounts.
Houchin was located and arrested at his home in Clovis, California, outside of Fresno.
He has been charged with fraud and theft.
