PHOENIX — A man has been arrested after reportedly exposing himself to gym workers and assaulting two women.

Phoenix police report that on January 16, Ekom Abasi Ub Udofia, age 31, got into an argument with gym workers at the LA Fitness near 32nd Street and Bell Road.

After Udofia allegedly tried to slap a female worker, he was asked to leave. Before he left, Udofia reportedly exposed himself to the gym workers.

Later that morning, Udofia went to the IHOP restaurant near 44th Street and Thomas Road.

He allegedly yelled at the restaurant employees for getting his order wrong and is accused of pushing a worker’s head down onto the table and holding her down.

Witnesses say Udofia drove erratically as he left. Police say they witnessed him driving into oncoming traffic as they followed him on Indian School Road.

A police air unit followed him and directed police to his home near Cave Creek and Thunderbird roads.

After negotiating with Phoenix SWAT officers for several hours, Udofia surrendered.

Udofia is being held without bond on charges of assault, indecent exposure and unlawful flight.
