A man on the run for multiple warrants allegedly tried to steal food from a church in north Phoenix.
Phoenix police report that on April 17, at about 1 a.m., Lukus James Marvin Humphreys was reportedly found inside a church, "loading up food from the kitchen."
Police say they found the suspect at Christ Temple Church near 35th Avenue and Beardsley Road, with a large knife and tools inside a backpack.
According to police, Humphreys was on the run due to multiple warrants for his arrest.
Humphreys has been charged with burglary.
