SCOTTSDALE, AZ — A man with a 30-year criminal history is accused of stealing thousands of dollars worth of alcohol from Scottsdale grocery stores.
Scottsdale police report that from January until June 25, Stacey Lamar Motley, 53, stole nearly $9,000 in alcohol from grocery stores mostly in Scottsdale.
Authorities have accumulated a list of 15 stores where surveillance video allegedly shows Motley robbing the store.
Police say he would steal the alcohol from the stores, then drive to various car dealerships and body shops to sell the stolen liquor.
Court records show that Motley has a 30-year criminal history from theft to aggravated assault in Florida and Oklahoma.
He has now been charged with ten counts of retail theft.
