PD: Man who invaded Phoenix home, stole car is found in California

A man who committed a home invasion in Phoenix was found and arrested in San Bernardino County, California.

Phoenix Police report that on August 20,a man, later identified as 56-year-old Kenneth Fletcher, crawled under a partially opened garage door at a home near 16th Street and Northern Avenue.

He then reportedly held a woman at knifepoint and forced her upstairs to get the key to her vehicle.

There he allegedly confronted the woman's husband who was calling the police. Fletcher threatened the man with the 12-inch hunting knife.

Police say, on August 23, they received a call from the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Office saying they found the stolen car in Victorville, California and arrested Fletcher.

Fletcher reportedly told police that he needed a way back to California, so he stole the vehicle.

He is in jail in California and has been charged with armed robbery.
