GILBERT, AZ — A man and woman who police believe are responsible for 21 thefts of Valley Ulta, Sephora, and TJ Maxx stores have been arrested.
Court records show that DeShannon Montenegro and Albert Kelly committed 21 thefts of fragrances from Valley Ulta, Sephora, and TJ Maxx stores from December 2018 to June of 2019.
Police say in under one minute; the pair would enter a store with reusable shopping bags, fill them with fragrances, and walk out. Court records show the total value of the items stolen was nearly $32,000.
Scottsdale police caught them after allegedly robbing a TJ Maxx store. Their booking photos matched the images to store surveillance videos from the other thefts.
Montenegro has been charged with organized retail theft, while Kelly is being held on a probation violation at this time.
