PHOENIX — An adult teen charged with trading images of child porn says he's been viewing it since he was 10 years old.
Phoenix police report that on August 13, they arrested Christopher Austin Treacy, 19, at his home near 35th Avenue and Greenway Road.
Police received information saying Treacy had been uploading child pornography. Police questioned Treacy, who allegedly told them he has been viewing child porn since he was 10 years old. He admitted to collecting, trading and saving the images, according to court records.
Treacy also allegedly told investigators that he tried to engage several children into sexual activity when he was 16. He was successful in getting one 9-year-old girl to send him sexual photos of herself, police say.
According to court records Treacy also sent sexually explicit videos of girls at his high school and posted them online.
Analysis of his electronic devices is ongoing, police say.
He has been charged with eight counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.
