PHOENIX — A technology assistant at a south Phoenix elementary school has been accused of molesting a child in a classroom.
Phoenix police report that on March 4, they arrested Reid James Trammell, 21, at Western Valley Elementary School near 59th Avenue and Durango Street.
Police say a young girl came forward saying that when she was in the 4th or 5th grade, Trammell put her on his lap while they were alone in a classroom. She also reportedly told police that Trammell touched her inappropriately over her clothing.
When questioned by police, Trammell sad that he unintentionally touched the girl's private parts while putting her on his lap. He also said, "he knew it was wrong and inappropriate," according to court records.
Trammell listed himself as a technology assistant with the school.
He has been charged with sexual conduct with a minor.
ABC15 has reached out to the school district for comment but has not gotten a response.
