A woman has been arrested for the arson of two mobile homes in Glendale, after an argument with her boyfriend.
Glendale police report that on June 13, they arrested 27-year-old Leilani Lopez, near 59th Avenue and Camelback Road.
Lopez was wanted for an arson fire of two mobile homes on June 4 near 59th Avenue and Bethany Home Road.
Police say Lopez lit a mattress of fire that was in a carport leaning against a wooden fence. The mattress caught other items in the garage to catch fire, including a truck. Soon the whole mobile home was engulfed in flames. The fire also extended to another mobile home next door.
Lopez's boyfriend was home at the time and reportedly told police that she told him she was going to set the mattress on fire.
A few minutes later he saw flames coming from the garage, and he needed to jump out of a window to escape the fire.
Upon her arrest, Lopez reportedly admitted to starting the fire after arguing about whether to bring the mattress into the home.
She has been charged with arson of an occupied structure and endangerment.
