A woman hits one car and then rams a gate, breaching the airfield at Sky Harbor Airport.
Phoenix police report that on August 9, a woman, later identified as 48-year-old Shari Rhea Vandelinder, struck a parked vehicle in the East Economy Lot at Sky Harbor International Airport.
She then reportedly left the scene of the accident and rammed a gate with her Lexus, breaching the airfield.
She allegedly continued to drive in the restricted area where the planes are moved and where employees were walking. Honeywell employees confronted Vandelinder and managed to turn off the Lexus until police arrived.
Police say she appeared lethargic and was possibly intoxicated.
She has been charged with criminal damage and criminal trespassing.
