A burglar's partner left him to be captured by the armed homeowner last week.

Peoria Police report that on March 8, 19-year-old Anthony Christopher Morales and a friend were allegedly driving in the area of 81st and Peoria avenues, looking for a "house to hit."

They reportedly entered one home and began taking electronics, weapons and other items from inside.

When Morales was in the backyard, he reportedly heard "keys jiggling" and ran out of the yard. As he ran, he noticed his partner and their vehicle were gone.

The homeowner chased Morales and soon caught up with him down the street and held him at gunpoint.

When officers arrived, they saw Morales on his stomach with his hands behind his back.

Police say they took about $25,000 worth of merchandise from the home.

Morales has been charged with burglary.
