PHOENIX — A DUI suspect was arrested in North Phoenix after allegedly crashing into four cars while transporting two children.
Phoenix police report that on February 18, about 8 p.m., they responded to a five-vehicle crash near 35th Avenue and Thunderbird Road. There they reportedly found a Jeep Wrangler driven by Leah Mae McGinnis, 39, of Glendale.
Police say they found two children in the back seat of the vehicle, ages 12 and 13.
A preliminary breath test recorded McGinnis' B.A.C. level of .257, over three times the legal limit.
She has been charged with extreme DUI.
