A man has been arrested after he allegedly walked across two runways at Sky Harbor International Airport.

Court records show that an allegedly intoxicated man jumped a fence and walked across two runways at the airport.

Police report that on November 6, just before midnight, 24-year-old Dalton James Reimer, jumped a chain link fence on the North airfield of Sky Harbor International Airport.

Police say Reimer walked across two north runways, before wandering onto the taxiway, near the American Airlines Hangar.

Police arrested Reimer on the taxiway after he was spotted by Mesa Air employees.

Police say Reimer was intoxicated by alcohol and told them he didn't see any of the warning signs on the fence.

Reimer is from Iowa but is in Phoenix for work. He's been charged with criminal trespassing.

This is not the first time a person has gotten onto the Sky Harbor runway. In 2013, an ABC15 investigation uncovered a security measure at Sky Harbor that was left non-functioning for 2 years.

Sky Harbor released the following statement to ABC15 on Wednesday afternoon:

"Sky Harbor has multiple layers of security. Some are very visible to the public and some are not. In this incident, the system worked as it should. We commend the employees who took quick action to immediately question the unauthorized individual that they saw in the secure area, and the Phoenix Police officers for their quick work in arresting the individual."
