A man who recently moved to Arizona has been charged in a hit-and-run that left one motorcycle rider dead and another injured.
Authorities were called to 19th and Northern avenues on April 7 to investigate a crash involving a vehicle and a motorcycle. One of the riders died at the hospital and the other was badly injured and had to undergo an amputation, according to court records.
Police were looking for a suspect and later detained and man and a woman.
Authorities said 61-year-old Ronald Luster Hicks and his wife were found walking away from their vehicle, which had damage to its front end, roughly a 1/2 mile away.
Hicks does not have an Arizona driver's license and his Colorado license was revoked. He was arrested and charged with failing to stay at the scene of a fatal accident and causing a fatal accident while on a suspended license
