A man has been accused of threatening and kidnapping his girlfriend and later her 4-year-old child.

Glendale police report that on August 2, Daniel Scott Dominguez, 32, threatened his girlfriend at gunpoint demanding that she hang herself because he believed she was cheating on him.

Instead, he reportedly put her in a car at gunpoint and drove her around Glendale. At one point, he stopped the car, and the woman was able to grab the gun and exit the vehicle. Dominguez went after her and she pointed the gun at him, pulling the trigger, but the gun did not fire.

The woman managed to get home, but Dominguez soon arrived and pulled her out of the home by her hair and dragging her along rocks in the front yard.

When neighbors threatened to call the police, Dominguez grabbed the woman’s four-year-old son and left in his car.

He reportedly crashed the car a few blocks away. Police rescued the child and caught Dominguez after a short foot pursuit.

Dominguez was arrested for multiple counts of kidnapping and aggravated assault.
