A man trying to get out of paying for parking in Tempe hit a car and then a woman before leaving the garage.
Police report that on April 18, Brian Andrew Sandoval, 27, was in a parking structure near University Drive and Mill Avenue and wasn't able to pay for parking.
Police say he attempted to tailgate his way out of the structure but hit the car in front of him.
The woman in the car confronted him about it, but he denied hitting her car until she showed him that his front bumper was resting on her back bumper.
After separating the cars, Sandoval allegedly pointed his vehicle at the woman and slowly moved forward hitting her and causing her to fall onto his hood. He then continued to drive forward until the woman fell off, at which time he sped away.
Police located Sandoval's vehicle at a nearby parking garage of an apartment complex. Sandoval reportedly admitted to police that he tailgated but denied hitting the woman. However, police say the woman's boyfriend recorded the incident.
Sandoval has been charged with aggravated assault.
